RADIATOR STAINGS
Hello Everyone!
This has been one of the longest weeks of my Life!! but it has also been so much fun.
To start out I am in the Preston London MTC and if you are wondering how London is, I really don't know. We are not allowed to leave our rooms unless we need to use the bathroom or its one of our outside times that happen 2 times a day for 30 minutes each.
The food is alright, if any of you know me I am a VERY picker eater and that does not help. Every morning for breakfast we get bland rice krispies with reduced skim milk (vegan friendly). Stale bread and vegetables. For lunch we get a vegetable sandwich with one slice of ham and tons of butter, soda, and you guessed it more vegetables. Dinner is different every day and it is okay sometimes but other days it is very iffy(see attached picture).
I was so excited to get here and start doing the work but so far it is just home MTC on Xgame mode. We have about 7 hours of classes, comp study with our roomates and another comp study with people in the mission, we have at least one practice for teaching everyday and then a devotional in the evening.
I am in a room with 3 other elders and they are all awesome but I already told you guys about them. We invented a game called radiator staing with a ball and our radiator and if we make a shot we have to say the pledge of allegiance. We also set up a small net and we have pickleball tournaments.
in our outside time there is a little pond and so we decided to make a little fish trap, we put some bread inside a cup and attached some floss. We let it sink to the bottom of the pond and and then yanked it up, we weren't successful at first but we learned from our mistakes and in the end we caught 7 fish! We named them: Minnowni, Helaminnow, Amminnow, Saminnow, Russell "Minnow" Nelson, Steve, and Peter. Sadly by the next morning all had died except for Russell, so we had a funeral service and all the rooms cam by during there outside time to pay there respects and then we released our little champion back into the pond from whence he came.
Last night my comp, Starzky Larkin, decided that he wanted to get a haircut and so we went to work, Elder THompson broke out his hairclippers and we eyed up what we wanted to do. 2 strokes into cutting his hair the clipper started smoking and almost caught fire. Starzky Larkin started freaking out because he had big chunks of hair gone and we didn't have anyway to fix his hair. Luckily elder gucci Heward had some clippers and got a quick social distance cut and he is looking fresh as can be.
I got to meet my mission president and his wife and they are so cool. They are super nice and very understanding. They are so excited for all of us to get here because the mission is at half capcity and they haven't had official greenies since January!!!
That is basically it, I love all of you and I hope you have a great week, and make sure yoou listen to president nelsons address today because it is going to be so amazing!!!
Love, Elder Galli
