GUTEN TAG

Hello everyone one! I can not believe that I have already been a missionary for a whole week. This first week in the MTC has been harder then I could have ever imagined but it has brought me so much joy and so many blessings.

Firstly my whole district is amazing and I have actually got to meet some of them already, Elder Wilkins invited us all over to eat crepes Sunday morning and then watch conference afterwards, which was literally the best way to start my MTC experience. My companion is Elder Yospe and he is the coolest guy ever! Fun fact his great grandfather was the first jewish convert to become a stake president in the latter days.

My schedule is totally crazy, basically every day I have at least 6 hours of zoom calls with my district and then I have an hour of companion study and language study, and hour and a half of personnel study, and somehow I am supposed to squeeze in eating and ping pong with my dad, which  I have been doing a lot of.

Last night we had a world wide missionary devotional and it was so cool. Elder Nash of the seventy and his wife Sister Nash, both spoke about how this virus is a reset button on missionary work and how we need to learn how to use technology in the field do reach out to more members and nonmembers. They talked about how we should be filming videos and trying to make connections through social media. One example they gave was of the missionaries in London, they have turned there platform into a big testimony meeting where people can share their testimonies and musical numbers. As a district we decided we are going to try and make some videos to reach out to people and that makes me super excited.

Today I got to meet up with some of the elders in my district again to play some pickleball which was so good since all of us spend most of our time in a dark room on our computers all day. Being the resident pickleball pro of the group I was challenged many times but only in one game was I defeated haha.

Well that is all I have for you this week, but I love you all!

Auf Wiedersehn,

Elder Galli

Spiritual thought: Ether 12:12-16

12 For if there be no faith among the children of men God can do no miracle among them; wherefore he showed not himself until after their faith. 13 Behold it was the faith of Alma and Amulek that caused the prison to tumble to the earth 14 Behold it was the faith of Nephi and Lehi that wrought the change upon the Lamanites, that they were baptized with fire and with the Holy Ghost 15 Behold it was the faith of Ammon and his brethren that wrought so great a miracle among the lamanites 16 Yea, and even all they who wrought miracles wrought them by faith, even those who were before Christ and also those who were after.

I know that God has called me and that through faith he will provide a way for me to serve his children and bring them unto Christ
